You should bring your puppies as early as possible - right after they have had their second jabs. Early introduction will result in a calmer adult dog. During the session we slowly introduce the pup to the noises and sensations of grooming at a comfortable pace. We also trim the hair by their eyes, around the bottom area and trim their feet and nails. We can also advise you of a grooming routine and the correct equipment to use at home – perfect for keeping your pet happy and healthy between grooms.
The easiest way is via our website on the contact form. Or you can make an appointment by calling or texting us directly at 07714 947026.
Yes, we operate on an appointment only basis and booking in advance is required.
We recommend booking 2-3 weeks in advance. Weekends usually book up the quickest. Cancellations do happen occasionally, so keep an eye on our socials for updates throughout the week.
Our deposits act as a guarantee of your booking. But we know that, from time to time, things change. So, if you cancel or change within 48 hours of the original appointment, we can move the deposit amount to your rescheduled appointment. We currently request a 50% deposit of the appointment cost at the time of booking.
This all depends on your dog's breed, coat type and condition, size and temperament. But we try to offer guide prices at the point of booking. Visit our Grooming Services page for more details. Don’t forget – it's never too late to add those little extras. When you drop your pet off, you can add any additional services you may want, such as our popular De-Shedding treatment or nail trims.
At Enzo’s Groom Room, we understand that life sometimes gets in the way and that appointments may need to be rearranged. This is why we send a text and email reminder of your booking 48 hrs in advance of your appointment. Appointments can be re-arranged or cancelled up to 48 hrs prior to your scheduled appointment time without charge. If you contact us with less than 24 hrs notice then a you will lose your deposit and a cancellation fee of 100% of your appointment is payable. If you would like to book an appointment following a no-show, please note you will be required to pay for the next appointment upon booking in addition to your missed booking.
We only offer grooming services for dogs right now.
Yes - we do all breeds and mixed breeds! As long as your pets will let us, we will groom them. We love all dogs; large and teeny!
We offer a wide range of services that are suited to all dog breeds and their own individual grooming requirements. If your dog doesn't need a Full Groom, we offer plenty of in-between services. For example, a Mini Groom or a Tidy Trim (face & feet) can be just right for keeping on top of essential grooming needs. Visit our Grooming Services page for more details.
This is dependent on temperament, breed, size, coat type and the style requirements of your dog. We will be able to give you a collection time when you
drop your pet off for their groom. We usually estimate a couple of hours for full grooms of medium sized dogs. And if we’re running ahead or behind schedule we will get in touch with you to let you know.
I completed my iPet Level 3 and Canine First Aid training at The Groomarts Academy, a national and international multi-award-winning pet grooming academy located in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Unfortunately not! For the safety of the dogs in the salon, owners are not permitted to stay with their pet for the groom. We will call you 30 minutes before the end of your dog’s groom.
We are qualified and first aid trained. The salon is designed to be pet friendly with high plug sockets, minimal dangling objects or wires. We operate in a secure and locked garden, with high fences and also ensure the doors are also locked. We take security very seriously and pets are never left unattended. And our home salon is alarmed and monitored by CCTV.
It depends on the dog, on average long haired dogs require grooming every 6-8 weeks. Smooth haired dogs can vary, this can be dependent on their shedding cycle and outdoor activities.
No. We only use free-standing dryers, and your dog is dried by hand. We'll never leave your dog unattended while they're having a groom in our salon, so you can be rest assured that they're safe and in the best possible care.
Unfortunately, we can't groom dogs who are pregnant or in season (heat).
We pride ourselves on being able to settle the dogs in our care. We have been through extensive behaviour training to help recognise stress signals and to keep both ourselves and your dog safe. Our salon uses calming diffusers to help naturally alleviate mild anxiety. If a dog is aggressive towards their groomer or one of our pets, we may need to muzzle them. It is the owner's responsibility to inform the groomer if they do not wish their pet to be muzzled. Refusal may result in the groom not taking place and you still being charged the full cost of the groom.
If you discover your dog has fleas, ticks or other parasites prior to your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible. We will rearrange appointments for dogs with fleas, ticks or other parasites wherever we can to prevent contamination. We always check your dogs’ for fleas, ticks or other parasites prior to bathing and it is possible you may not be aware that your dog is affected, in this instance; if we do discover your dog has fleas, ticks or other parasites prior to bathing, we may turn them away to prevent contamination.
Matts are a serious problem and if left unattended may be harmful. When matts are too close to the skin it may cut off the blood circulation underneath that affected area. Enzo’s Groom Room will remove matts causing serious discomfort. If matts are all over the body and are too close to the skin permission will be asked to shave the coat to let the skin breathe and relieve any pain from your dog. Matting fees will occur depending on the condition the coat is in.
To improve your dog's experience at Enzo’s Groom Room, there are a couple of things you can do before bringing them in. Please do not feed your pet within 60 minutes prior to their appointment Please ensure that your pet has been given the opportunity to go to the toilet before they enter the grooming salon. This will ensure that they get the maximum enjoyment out of their groom.
Let us know as soon as possible if you're running late and we'll do our best to fit you in. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we can't guarantee that your appointment will still be available and you may still be charged. If you are running late to collect your dog please do let us know as soon as possible. We will of course take good care of your dog while we wait for you to return, however in the event you are more than 15 minutes late we do apply a late collection charge of £7.50 over the initial 15 minutes to cover the cost of the time required to care for your dog and the effect this has on other appointments.
We'd always like to have the opportunity to make up for any issues you've had with your groom. Please contact us on 07714 947026 or email us at hello@enzosgroomroom.com We respond to email messages in the order they are received. Please allow 72 hours (Monday - Saturday 09:00 - 18:00) for us to answer your query or for a quicker response, please call or message us.
